Lahti Energia's energy translation contributed to Lahti becoming the European Capital of the Environment in 2021. In 2020, we were the first player in our size class to phase out coal and reduce our CO2 emissions by 600,000 tonnes per year. We provide our customers with district heating, additional district heating services and an electricity grid service. We are also a trusted energy service partner for large industrial customers.

On April 1, 2020, our electricity contracts were transferred to a new, nationwide electricity sales company, Oomi Energia, of which we are a significant owner. Our operations will continue as normal: we will continue to invest in renewable energy sources and develop new energy services with our partners. Our goal is to be a progressive and innovative leader in the energy sector.
