BACE - Bureau d’appui à la coopération extérieure

Created in 2003, the National Authorizing Officer Support Office (BAON), now known as the External Cooperation Support Office (BACE), is the result of cooperation between Madagascar and the European Union ( EU).

The year 2014 was marked by the resumption of cooperation between Madagascar and the EU after the cyclical socio-political crises experienced by the country. On the other hand, the BACE, hitherto put on standby, resumed its activities.The Government took over the role of National Authorizing Officer (ON) of the European Development Fund (EDF) in Madagascar in 2014, appointing to this function the Minister of Economy and Finance. BACE is anchored there. He is attached to the General Secretariat of the said ministry (Alternate National Authorizing Officer).

Our main mission is to contribute to the establishment of socio-economic development favorable to the entire Malagasy population by providing advice and support to the National Authorizing Officer of the European Development Fund (EDF) relating to financing instruments of the European Union.
