About

AICO emerged from the collective and voluntary willingness of Latin American entrepreneurs, who saw the need to be adequately represented in the international community; As such, in November 1974 was convened in Mexico City the First Meeting of Latin American Chambers of Commerce, which specifically proposed the creation of an Association for grouping all existing Chambers and Associations of Commerce in Latin America. This purpose was crystallized in Spain in June 1975, formally instituting the Latin American Association of Chambers of Commerce (AICO).
