The story of Toyota dates back to the late 19th century, when Saki Chi Toyoda discovered Japan's first electric loom, revolutionizing the country's textile industry. In January 1918, Saki Chi founded the Spinning and Weaving Company at Toyoda, and with the help of his son Kiichiro Toyoda, in 1924, he established automated weaving, a lifelong dream. Two years later, he created Automated Weaving at Toyo.
