About

In Global Factor we started to provide professional services on the subject of climate change in the year 2004, prior to the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol or the implementation of the EU Emission Trading System. Our focus has always been oriented towards the principle of innovation and the integration of academic and technical knowledge and the consulting world.

Almost two decades later, we have become a global organisation, that has worked in more than 40 countries, through a wide international network of offices and partners.

In Global Factor we are specialised in the provision of international and national consulting services in the areas of:

- Climate change mitigation: among others, development of MRV systems, GHG inventories and projections, identification and prioritisation of GHG reduction measures and strategies for different sectors.

- Climate change adaptation: vulnerability assessments, prioritisation of adaptation measures, development of adaptation and resilience strategies.

- Support in the compliance with international and national climate change compromises: particularly support for the implementation and increase in ambition for NDCs and national/provincial/local climate change plans and strategies.

-Carbon markets: definition of suitable carbon pricing instruments and strategies, implementation of the EU ETS requirements.

-Circular economy and sustainability: identification and implementation of circular economy strategies and projects.

-Energy: provision of support for the energy transition defining renewable energies and energy efficiency plans and strategies, and also energy market regulations.

- Carbon neutrality: Net-zero strategies, decarbonisation plans, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

-Climate finance: Green Climate Fund (GCF) crediting, concept notes, private sector involvement
