France-Merrick Foundation

The France-Merrick Foundation strives to improve and enrich the quality of life throughout the state of Maryland, with a special interest in the Baltimore metropolitan region. The Foundation invests in non-profit organizations that serve the unique needs of people and places throughout the state.

The Foundation has six main areas of focus: civic and culture, community and economic development, conservation, education, health and human services and historic preservation. The Foundation aims to increase the capacity of organizations to have a positive impact on lives and communities. Funding is focused on project-oriented requests that have defined beginnings and endings, which do not require ongoing financial support, as opposed to annual giving or operational support.
