ADRA Deutschland - Adventist Development and Relief Agency Germany

ADRA Germany (ADRA Deutschland e. V.) is part of the ADRA network with offices in more than 120 countries world wide. The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a humanitarian agency operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the purpose of providing individual and community development and disaster relief.

Poverty, hunger missing education and inequality of chances concerning gender are still a part of many million people’s daily lives worldwide.

As part of a globally operating network comprised of 140 country offices, ADRA helps millions of people every year, independent of their political or religious position.  Guided by the principle of “help to self-help“, ADRA assists them to lead a life of dignity in accordance with human rights.

In Germany the non-governmental organisation, which was acknowledged by the state, was founded by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1986 and became an registered association in 1987.
