The Užice Center for Children's Rights (UCPD) was founded in 1998 as a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization. Our mission is to improve the position of children in society. All the center's activities are based on the principles stated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is why we promote the Convention as a basic document on the rights of the child. Activists of the Center are pedagogues, psychologists, teachers, professors, sociologists, doctors, lawyers and children.
UCPD is a development organization that works on the monitoring and implementation of children's and human rights. Our work is reflected in the creation, development and implementation of public policies related to human and children's rights in education, social protection, non-discrimination, violence prevention, gender equality, inclusion of children from vulnerable groups, as well as legal issues related to children's and human rights.
