About
Global Communities is an international development and humanitarian aid organization that operates in approximately 25 countries per year. The non-profit organization was founded in 1952 as the Cooperative Housing Foundation and provided affordable housing for low-income families in rural and urban America.
As of September 1, 2021, we are excited to announce that Global Communities and PCI are now one unified organization. In 2020 we merged with Global Communities to increase the scale and positive impact of programs driven by a wide range of private and public sector partners, including local governments and the communities in which we serve.
As a unified organization, we have deep roots in more than 35 countries and a shared vision for a more just, prosperous and equitable global community. We work through the nexus of humanitarian response and sustainable development and integrate leading-edge experts in financial inclusion to provide essential solutions to complex development challenges.
