Indian American Impact (“IMPACT”)

Despite rapid growth and professional success, Indian Americans, like other recent immigrant communities, are deeply underrepresented in public service. Indian Americans make up roughly 1/3 of the proportion of state legislative seats, yet hold only 34 of 7,383 seats nationwide.

Indian American Impact (“IMPACT”) and our affiliated organizations are focused on civically engaging the Indian American diaspora and building long-term power among historically excluded communities. Founded in 2016 to help Indian Americans run for office, win, and lead, IMPACT has grown to become the leading national organization mobilizing South Asian communities and electing leaders to public office at the local, state, and federal level.
