Fondation Énergies pour le Monde (FONDEM)

Fondation Énergies pour le Monde conducts and monitors sustainable and secure projects in close collaboration with its local partners (local populations, communities, institutions, etc.).

The Foundation is part of a responsible approach by focusing on renewable energies, respectful of the environment, in their diversity and without bias (solar photovoltaic and thermal, wind, hydraulic, biomass).

Our Vision

Access to electricity is a vector for developing and improving the living conditions of the poor. Thus, the Energies for the World Foundation aims to promote the development of poor populations by allowing them a sustainable and reliable access to a source of energy. Our approach is part of a triple logic:

• Economic;
• Social;
• Environmental.

Our Mission

Fondem has intervened in 28 countries since its creation. Initially, electrification projects responded to specific social and economic needs (schools, health centers, pumping). Building on this experience, the Foundation today articulates its actions around three areas of intervention:

• Energy planning , based on field studies that make it possible to change scale and develop long - term regional programs. It is based on the Noria expert software.
• The implementation and monitoring of field projects (see Our actions ). A close link has been established with our local partners, whom we train and support in the implementation of programs. As part of the electrification programs, a work of sensitization of the populations is operated.
• Dissemination and capitalization of feedback. They go through publications and multimedia supports.
