Italferr is the Italian State Railways Group engineering company. It designs and builds infrastructural and technological work contemplated in investment and upgrade plans for the railways. Italferr operates across the national boundaries and abroad (Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America), in the traditional, High Speed/High Capacity and metropolitan transport sectors. The services provided by the company have high technological content and have enabled it to develop an integrated engineering model for overall management of projects and tasks it is entrusted with.

In this contest, the integrated Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001) and Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) Management System, for which Italferr already achieved the certification by SGS (Societé Genèrelle de Surveillance), is an important assurance for all the customers. 

Italferr, according to FS environmental policy, developed a methodology to measure and report, on design basis, the GHG emissions produced during design and work on new transportation infrastructures, according to standard UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2006.

Italferr S.p.A. is one of the first Company in Italy to be certified as an Inspection Body for design validation, accordance with ISO /IEC 17020 Standard.

These certifications place Italferr among the small group of companies in a position to supply Clients with high-level performance in line with international standards and requirements.
