Union Sapari

We protect women's rights, fight against violence and discrimination, help and care for victims. Our mission is to help build a fair environment because we believe that all members of society deserve equal rights and equal access to opportunities.

Union Sapari was founded in 2001 as a centre for the rehabilitation of victims of domestic violence. The following year, Sapari opened the first shelter for victims, providing medical and psychological assistance. Sapari’s activities also include raising societal awareness of issues surrounding gender equality, the prevention of domestic violence, the retraining of police officers and social workers, and advocating for the development of Georgian legislation. Sapari actively participates in litigation work, advocacy, monitoring, and lobbying activities.
