Srijan Lokhit Samiti is a people’s movement, working on social and environmental issues in Singrauli area – boarder districts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Singrauli is known as the energy capital of India, with a high concentration of coal based thermal power projects and coal mines. The past 3 decades of these projects have resulted in multiple displacement of people, severe health issues and a highly toxic environment.
