The story of our Company, SEW Engineering (India) Pvt Ltd (SEWEPL), began in 1952 when Mr Homi Masani set up Starlite Electrical Works. Through a strong work ethic and strict adherence to high quality standards, the Company soon built up a reputation for excellence as well as an impressive Client base.

In fact, the electrical installation works of some of Mumbai city’s most well-known landmarks were carried out by Starlite in the 1960’s and ‘70’s.

When Mr Firdaus Masani took over the reins of Starlite from his father in 1979, he knew his job would not be easy.

Upholding and furthering a carefully-nurtured reputation in times of tough competition called not just for integrity, it called for ingenuity.

It is to Mr Firdaus Masani’s credit that he has not only upheld the high standards set by his father, but has set new benchmarks in excellence as he steers the Company towards greater heights.

Today, SEWEPL is synonymous with quality, technical excellence and perfectionism. The Company’s conviction that its systems are assets built to last a lifetime has led to SEWEPL being much sought after for projects of prestige and magnitude.
