Le Depositaire Central / Banque de Reglement /Central Depositary/Bank of Settlement (DC/BR)

The Central Depositary/Bank of Settlement is the Central Depository of WAEMU securities. It ensures the centralization of the custody of transferable securities for its members, the successful completion of settlement/delivery operations following stock market transactions as well as the payment of security events. As a full member of the Association of National Numbering Agency (ANNA), it ensures the codification of transferable securities in WAEMU. The DC/BR was created in 1996 and actually started its activities on September 16, 1998 at the same time as the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM)
