European Intermodal Association

European Intermodal Association promotes sustainable intermodal mobility in Europe by creating innovative solutions, combining transportation of rail, road, waterway, air and sea transport. The EIA emphasizes an optimal use of each form of transport with better links between each other ("co-modality”). Its "highest goal" is the development of a sustainable transport system for an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient future. Therefore, this neutral organisation with more than 90 members is suitably qualified to discuss controversial subjects and to propose well balanced sustainable solutions in line with and to improve the EU transport policy. In this sense EIA offers its services to the EU Institutions and the industry in order to help shaping the appropriate measures.
