New Brunswick Arts Board

The New Brunswick Arts Board (artsnb) is an independent, bilingual public arts funder established in 1991 to support a diverse and thriving arts ecosystem across the province. Guided by a board that reflects New Brunswick’s regions, cultures, languages, First Nations communities, and artistic disciplines, artsnb manages public funds to foster artistic creation, professional growth, and cultural vitality.

Its mission centers on empowering New Brunswick artists working in a wide range of disciplines, encouraging them to create and share their work locally and beyond. By 2027, artsnb envisions an arts sector equipped to produce outstanding work, tell diverse stories in multiple languages, and contribute to vibrant communities throughout the province. The organization aims to deepen relationships with artists and partners, broaden access to funding, and support a growing and more diverse artistic community.

artsnb aspires to strengthen recognition of the arts as an essential contributor to the economy, quality of life, cultural and linguistic vitality, and the social fabric of New Brunswick. It seeks to promote widespread appreciation of artistic expression in all its forms and elevate the profile of New Brunswick artists provincially, nationally, and internationally.
