The mission of the FBDES is to support the implementation of economic and social development operations by:

the promotion of the creation of new businesses in the form of companies (SA, SARL) and the development of already existing businesses, in all sectors of the Burkinabe economy insofar as these structures intervene in the support of production and the fight against unemployment;
financial support for any organization governed by Burkina Faso law involved in supporting production and combating unemployment;
distribution by sale of shares held in its portfolio, to natural persons of Burkinabe nationality.
