Internews Moldova

Internews is an international non-profit organization that wants to ensure access to reliable and quality information, enabling citizens to have a say in their future and lead healthy, safe and fulfilling lives.

Internews, an international media development organization set up 35 years, works to ensure access to trusted, quality information that empowers people to have a voice in their future and to live healthy, secure, and rewarding lives. It has worked with citizens and local media in more than 100 countries. Currently, Internews has been awarded a five year-long project by USAID, “Media Enabling Democracy, Inclusion and Accountability in Moldova” (MEDIA-M), that aims to promote the development of an independent, professional media that gives citizens access to a variety of perspectives, and to create a media sector that is more resilient to political and financial pressures.

Mission
In 2017 Internews launched a new five-year project in the Republic of Moldova called "Media in support of democracy, inclusion and responsibility in Moldova" (MEDIA-M), funded by USAID and the UK. This program aims to promote the development of objective and professional media sources that provide citizens with diverse perspectives and create a media sector that is more resilient to political and financial pressures.
