The activity of the Ministry of e-Government will be aimed at the implementation of the European policy for the development of e-Government and the Digital Single Market. The aim of this policy is to make public administrations and institutions in the European Union open, efficient and secure, providing, without the constraints of national borders, personalised, user-friendly end-to-end digital public services for all citizens and businesses in the EU.

The Ministry of Electronic Government actively participates in the process of making and implementing decisions of the European Union as part of the work of the coordination mechanism on European issues in the Republic of Bulgaria. The agency also implements policy in the field of international relations, bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
