CISV (Burkina Faso)

We are first and foremost a community , in which members - donors, volunteers, employees, partners, collaborators, supporters - share values, projects and lifestyles.

We are present in Italy and in 11 countries around the world: in Africa (Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal) and in Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti and Venezuela), we carry out international cooperation interventions for one human and sustainable development of local communities. We work with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to remove the causes of poverty and injustice primarily by jointly building the foundations for autonomous development in the fields of agriculture, natural resources and human rights , especially of women victims of violence. , minors and indigenous minorities.

In Italy we are in schools and in the suburbs, dealing with education for global citizenship together with the CISV Solidarity cooperative.

We bring complex topics into schools , such as migration and environmental sustainability by offering training courses for teachers and students , animation and intercultural dialogue, and we provide activities to combat educational poverty in spaces and activities dedicated to and to young people.

In Piedmont, and in particular in the city of Turin, we build communities in the territories: we carry out reception activities for asylum seekers and holders of international protection; we propose experiences of community life in fraternity , in which families and individuals share values, spaces and time following the life of the association; we are present in mobilization networks on the territory with which we share values and social causes, as well as in spaces of youth associations in the suburbs, as for the many years of experience in the Falchera (TO) district with Yepp.

We offer experiences of active youth citizenship such as civil service in Italy and abroad and participation in international exchanges.

Through the NGO 2.0 community we propose training and information courses on new technologies applied to international cooperation together with other entities.

We have founded , together with other subjects of the Italian social scene, IMPACTSKILLS srl, an innovative start-up with a social vocation that continues and expands the work started within CISV with the creation of NGO2.0.
