Ouse Valley Energy Services Company (OVESCO)

Our mission is to generate community owned renewable energy locally and help as many people as possible to do the same. We educate and help people to use less oil, coal and gas. We share our experience to inspire others. Our vision is for a future in which 100% of our energy needs are generated locally from renewable sources. We can do this by sourcing our supply from renewable sources and reducing our demand.

OVESCO Aims to:

• Demonstrate our commitment to a low carbon future by delivering renewable energy projects.
• Provide opportunities for the local community to invest in renewable energy.
• Sell green, community-controlled electricity.
• Inspire and help local people to generate their own renewable energy. (Here is our list of local installers) and or purchase low carbon energy
• Help people to reduce their energy usage.

We have already completed nine projects to install PV panels, generating just over 300,000 kWh of electricity each year.  We raise money to fund these projects through community share offers so that local people can have a stake in what we do.
