Unité de Coordination de la Gestion des Déchets Solides

The UCG was born from the merger, in 2011, between the Agency for Cleanliness of Senegal (APROSEN) and the Entente Cadak-Car.
It is attached to the Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Public Hygiene and is responsible for supporting local authorities in taking charge of their skills, in terms of solid waste management, in order to be able to achieve an improvement in the living environment, through the establishment of standard infrastructure, the management of sweeping and the collection and transport of waste and social mobilization. Also, we are responsible for leading the development of the national waste management strategy and building the capacity of municipalities, through the implementation of projects and programs.
