Commercial activities
The Togocom Group is the leader of the Togolese telecommunications market which is now positioned as the global operator providing fixed and mobile solutions. The group results from the pooling of resources and the reorganization of activities carried out in 2017 between Togo Telecom, the incumbent fixed telephony operator in Togo, and Togo Cellulaire (Togocel), the mobile telephony operator.

The group
At the end of 2019, TOGOCOM registered more than 4.1 million mobile telephone subscribers and more than 41,000 fixed telephone subscribers.

In order to progress more quickly in achieving its ambition, which is to satisfy the population's requirements in terms of electronic communication and to bring each citizen closer to quality broadband access at the most competitive cost throughout the extent of the territory, the Togolese state has decided to open the capital of TOGOCOM thus allowing it to benefit from foreign strategic support.

Acted in October 2018 by the Togolese parliament, the privatization of the TOGOCOM Group materialized in November 2019 with the acquisition of 51% of its capital by the Agou Holding consortium, made up of the Malagasy conglomerate Axian and the capital investor Emerging Capital Partners ( PCE).

The Group is thus initiating a new dynamic with the materialization of this investment which rightly reinforces the ranking of our country in the Doing business.

These recent actions confirm the key role of the TOGOCOM Group as a major player in Togo's growth and competitiveness, particularly through the National Development Plan (PND) which in its axis 1 aims to make Togo a logistics hub and a center of top notch business in the sub-region. All the group's personnel remain mobilized at all organizational levels to provide the best fixed (Fiber To The Home) and mobile (4G+) Internet technology essential to the realization of this vision.

Our history
To respond to new technological issues and challenges in telecommunications, a profound reorganization of fixed and mobile activities took place in 2017 with the creation of the Holding TOGOCOM, the privatization of which was approved in 2018 by the Togolese state then materialized in November 2019 with the arrival of strategic partner AXIAN-ECP.

The TOGOCOM group was born from the merger of the incumbent operator Togocellular and Togo Telecom. Through its mobile subsidiary, TOGOCOM through the TOGOCEL network is not only the first 4G+ network in Togo but the most extensive and densest in the country. It now covers more than 90% of the Togolese population and more than 75% of the national territory, including Lomé the capital, the main cities and major roads, towns, villages and the most remote hamlets.

Thanks to this accessibility, we have profoundly modified and improved the living conditions of populations throughout the national territory. Our international mobility now extends to more than 309 operators in more than 161 countries around the world.

With the launch of 5G one year after its privatization, TOGOCOM is to date the first operator to benefit from the 5G network, the new generation of mobile connectivity in Togo and West Africa.

The new network was opened to the general public on November 27, 2020 and makes Togo the first commercial 5G network in Africa in the West African sub-region. This new technology will also make it possible to redraw the technological and entrepreneurial landscape in the Togolese digital ecosystem in line with the extension of the action of the AXIAN Group.

Today, TOGO TELECOM is a company of the TOGOCOM Group, a subsidiary of the AXIAN group which has been the No. 1 player in the telecommunications sector in the Indian Ocean since 2004 and is present in five business sectors with high growth potential.

In TOGO, the TOGOCOM Group through its subsidiary TOGO TELECOM offers Very High Speed Fixed with the ever-increasing deployment of optical fiber to the subscriber "FTTH: Fiber To The Home", to residential and business customers in Lomé and soon in regions. It thus participates in the implementation of more appropriate telecom solutions while raising the quality of services in order to accelerate the digital inclusion of Togo and the continent at the service of its populations.
