About

Econoler is an international consulting firm specialized in the design, implementation, evaluation, and financing of energy efficiency and sustainable energy projects and programs. From its creation  in 1981 in Canada as one the first Energy Service Companies (ESCO) in the world Econoler acquired early on a high level of expertise in energy auditing, measurement and verification of energy savings, and the design, implementation, and financing of energy efficiency projects under the Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) approach.  Shifting permanently to consultancy work from the early 1990s, with a strong focus on international activities Econoler quickly became one of the world’s most experienced consulting firms in the field of energy efficiency, adding to its core expertise all other aspects of the field: energy efficiency policies, strategies, action plans;  regulatory frameworks (appliance and equipments standards and labeling, energy building codes); demand-side management and demand-response programs; tariff and rate design. Other areas of expertise include green energy finance schemes, small-scale renewable energy; technologies for off-grid energy access (lighting, cookstoves…), and other climate mitigation strategies including carbon finance.
