CVJM Deutschland / CVJM-Gesamtverband in Deutschland E. V.

The logo and symbol of the worldwide YMCA (Young People's Christian Association) is a red triangle with a black horizontal bar in the middle. Just as YMCA work involves body, soul and spirit, the triangle symbolizes these three aspects.

The upper side of the triangle (the spirit) is supported by the soul and body (the lower oblique sides of the triangle). As the triangle shows, all three aspects of human beings are connected. And the work of the YMCA should serve the whole person. That is why the letters "CVJM" stand prominently in the middle of the triangle.

By the way: the four letters are not always the same. Of course, CVJM has a different name in other languages. And now there are also national associations that no longer have the classic "old" CVJM triangle.
