Center for Continuing Education - Birzeit University

Established in the early 1990s as a community outreach program, the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) is still functioning as Birzeit University’s community service arm working in the areas of educational reform, professional and organizational development, enterprising & entrepreneurship and capacity building for the current and future work.

CCE endeavors to empower the local community and create sustainable development impact.  The underlying principles upon which CCE stands are innovation and creativity, teamwork, continuous learning and development, cooperation, knowledge sharing and partnerships, respect and integrity.  CCE is fully aware that these foundations are the basis of success and survival required of any individual or organization today, and more importantly in the future.

In the early 1990s, the Continuing Education Department (CED) was established as a training center and community outreach program. Initially established as a training hub and community outreach program, the CED has metamorphosed into a beacon of excellence, known now as the Center for Continuing Education (CCE). Unwavering in its commitment, the center now delivers an unparalleled learning experience, comprehensive continuing education, invaluable business advice, mentorship, and community development initiatives. Its mission is to fortify, empower, and uplift future generations – encompassing children, women, youth, professionals, and individuals in industry and education. Through relentless research and the development of innovative solutions, the CCE responds adeptly to local and regional needs, technological advancements, and the latest proven theories and practices. In essence, the center extends the university's impact, forging a vital connection between academia and the broader community.
