The family business, founded in 1963 as a sole proprietorship, now consists of a competence network of 40 subsidiaries and operating units of GP Günter Papenburg AG. A total of 3,500 employees work in the fields of mining raw materials, production of building materials, construction of highways, lowways, roads and railways, construction machinery trade and service, machine and plant construction, forwarding and disposal, including recycling and landfilling.
At the Halle (Saale) site, more than 1,350 employees are employed. The company currently trains 100 trainees in commercial and commercial professions in Saxony-Anhalt in order to be able to meet the needs of specialists in the future.
