About
International wars and disasters victims’ protection associations – IRVD:
International wars and disasters victims protection associations - IRVD is an international non–governmental organization established by a group of volunteers to help suffered people in all humanitarian crises, registered in USA in 2017. IRVD manages development programs, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance.
IRVD is implementing programs in Yemen, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Palestine through regional offices which were registered in the forementioned countries as IRVD with focusing on the following sectors Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.
IRVD aims to:
Strengthening and developing community humanitarian response capacities.
Coordination with local authorities to ensure that humanitarian activities are carried out while maintaining IRVD values
Primary focus on vulnerable groups
Our Vision:
A world in which everyone has access to human rights and essential resources without any discrimination, achieving sustainable development through our programs, and achieving stability in terms of humanity and service in the targeted areas in which we work, while expanding our work points in other countries and centrally in the MENA region.
Mission Statement:
Our primary task is to ensure the provision and access of cross-sectoral humanitarian support in a manner that is accountable and transparent to everyone within our areas of operation, and access to essential resources and human rights while enabling citizens to play an active role in civilian participation.
Objectives:
IRVD aims to achieve the following objectives;
Conducting needs assessments in affected areas while avoiding duplication of coordination with local and international organizations in filling gaps, identifying needs, and accelerating the delivery of assistance.
Successful implementation and measurement of projects in all sectors of concern, focusing on some pieces such as, Health and Nutrition
Education and protection, Wash, Sanitation & Hygiene FSL, NFI, focusing on neglected areas across operational areas, building the capacity of local institutions to provide an appropriate understanding of governance, raising awareness of human rights, empowering civil societies, advocating for marginalized populations to exchange information on humanitarian response in areas of operation, and inspiring better coordination among actors.
