"Put the fruits of scientific rigor and academic independence at the service of public debate in economics" This is the mission that the State has entrusted to the OFCE and which it fulfills by conducting theoretical and empirical work, by participating in international scientific networks, ensuring a regular presence in the media and cooperating closely with French and European public authorities. The OFCE brings together more than forty French and foreign researchers who cover the fields of economic analysis around four areas of work: analysis and forecasting of the French economy, European issues, the environmental question and the analysis of inequalities. Since June 2014, the OFCE has been chaired by Xavier Ragot, Director of research at the CNRS and professor of economics at Sciences Po. In June 2017, the President of the FNSP and the Director of Sciences Po and Administrator of the FNSP renewed the mandate of Xavier Ragot, for a period of five years. Under the authority of its Chairman, the OFCE Management Committee brings together the Principal Director, the three Department Directors and the Executive Director.
