The purpose of the Social Welfare Center of the Central Macedonia Region (K.K.P.P.K.M.) is to provide open and closed care services to people with motor disabilities and mental disabilities, as well as functional, social and professional training and rehabilitation of the cared for, as well as the operation of extra-institutional structures such as rehabilitation hostels and semi-independent living shelters within the community. The K.K.P.P.K.M. implements therapeutic and educational programs for psychosocial rehabilitation, sports and entertainment, volunteering, research and counseling for disabled people and their families. It also implements day care and short-term accommodation programs for people with disabilities who live with their families.
