Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council - DVSC

Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council is an independent local charity that supports the development of the Third Sector in the county – charities, social enterprises, voluntary organisations, community groups, co-operatives and other volunteer based grass roots organisations that benefit the people of Denbighshire. Our services include:

Providing information, advice and support regarding funding, governance and other key issues
Promoting and supporting volunteers and managing volunteering, sharing good practice and providing training and projects such as Open Doors and Digital Buddies
Helping third sector organisations to engage with public sector and other stakeholders, to influence policy, funding and services, ensuring the needs of communities are represented
Specifically working in partnership on Wellbeing themes, including Dementia support
Identify local issues and represent community needs to policymakers
Working in collaboration with other agencies to develop new projects such as the Ruthin Market Hall social enterprise
