About the BGC
the Geological Office of the Comoros (BGC) was created in 2010 by  decree N°10-030 /PR. It is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy. It is in charge of research and exploitation of geological resources. 

The main mission of the BGC is to promote the sustainable management and development of the geological resources of the Comoros, through the development and implementation of geoscientific infrastructure programs, particularly in the following areas:

• The Exploration and Exploitation of hydrocarbons;
• Research and promotion of other geological resources such as hydrogeological, geothermal and mineral resources.
