SUHANJ! Alapítvány

The foundation is a non-profit, public benefit organization that has been sharing the joy of exercise with our injured and disabled colleagues since 2010. In the beginning, a handful of friends accompanied their visually impaired, wheelchair-bound, and intellectually-disabled peers on running trainings and races as volunteer support runners, and with the growth of the organization and the number of volunteers, the sport became available to even more disabled people, including in international races such as the New York or Berlin Marathon. Over the years, in addition to running, swimming trainings for children with missing limbs and groups of the visually impaired have started. THE SLIDE! To this day, the family provides hundreds of people with disabilities with regular exercise opportunities, and in August 2016, it opened the country's first and only integrative, barrier-free gym open to able-bodied people in the heart of Budapest SUHANJ! In the name of fitness. THE SLIDE! Fitness is considered a curiosity throughout Europe, a facility that fills a gap that every Hungarian can be proud of, and of which more would be needed throughout the country. In the year and a half after the opening, more than 30,000 guest entries were registered, of which 22% were sports fans with disabilities - from Paralympians to elementary school-aged autistic groups of special institutions. Injured and healthy people can spin together here, cranking, TRX and functional circuit training, Pilates, and personal training are waiting for them.
