Syria Relief (HQ)

Syria Relief is a strictly humanitarian UK-based Charity, working towards relieving the suffering and supporting the future of the Syrian People.

We hope to accomplish this in 5 stages; Mitigation, Needs Assessment, Response, Recovery and Long Term Development.

Mitigation - Minimizing the effects of the disaster. Examples: building codes and zoning; vulnerability analyses; public education.

Needs Assessment - Planning how to respond. Examples: preparedness plans; emergency exercises/training; warning systems.

Response - Efforts to minimize the hazards created by a disaster. Examples: emergency relief, emergency shelters, medication, disease control.

Recovery - Returning the community to normal. Examples: temporary housing; grants; medical care, semi-permanent homes, Clinics/hospitals repaired
