Asociacion Casa Cultural El Chontaduro

The “El Chontaduro” Cultural House Association is a social, non-profit and community organization founded in 1986 in the Aguablanca/Oriente District of Cali (Colombia). Located in one of the most socially vulnerable sectors of the city, our advocacy has as political principles the search for ethnic-racial, territorial and gender justice. In this sense, throughout its community history, the Chontaduro Cultural House has directed its political and cultural agency towards the eastern territory of the city of Cali, this being an area that, historically, houses people exiled by war, impoverished and racialized, by an exclusive State that violates human rights. The “El Chontaduro” Cultural House Association develops its work through five lines of action: Organization and Management Line, Childhood, Youth, Gender and Research, which are transversalized by two thematic axes, ethnic, racial and gender. Through these lines of action, the political work of the organization is strengthened.
