About

The mission of the Japan Foundation is to promote international cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries. With our headquarters in Tokyo, offices in 21 countries, and two Japanese Language Institutes in Japan, The Japan Foundation New York (JFNY) provides funding and exchange opportunities in the fields of Arts & Culture, Japanese Studies, and Japanese Language Education. The Center for Global Partnership (CGP - www.cgp.org) provides funding and fellowship opportunities in the fields of Intellectual Exchange and Grassroots Exchange and Education.

JFNY is dedicated to sharing Japanese culture and language through supporting U.S.-based projects that ultimately foster stronger relationships and mutual understanding between Japan and the U.S, as well as through arts and cultural programs including concerts, film screenings, exhibitions, and Japanese Language classes in New York City.
