One (Singapore)

One (Singapore) is dedicated to raising public awareness and taking concrete actions to Make Poverty History. Every three seconds a child dies from extreme poverty. But it doesn't have to be this way. The resources and technology exist in the world today to transform the hopes and dreams of an entire generation. On 17 October 2007, ONE (SINGAPORE)'s supporters joined 43 million people from 127 countries in "Stand Up and Speak Out Against Poverty" to call on world leaders to do the right thing and honour their commitments to end poverty. This year, we expect ONE percent of the world population to Stand Up.
