Proteinmat Materials Sl

Proteinmat is a spin-off with its own know-how supported by the Biomat research group of the UPV/EHU. We are a company specialized in new materials focused on tissue engineering and biomedical applications.

We develop ad hoc formulations of biocompatible, biodegradable, and natural bioinks with the aim of reducing healthcare costs and improving the life-quality of patients with chronic wounds.

Our mission is to contribute to the improvement of patients’ quality of life by driving changes in surgical procedures through the use of additive manufacturing technologies that generate mechanically robust structures and maintain cellular functionality for physiologically relevant periods of time.

We also participate in the development of the circular economy because we valorize renewable and natural by-products whose end of life is biodegradation.
