ROYM - Rural Oriented Youth Movement Nepal

Rural Oriented Youth Movement-Nepal (ROYM-Nepal) is a non-profit making non-governmental organization established in 2009 with the aim of poverty reduction through skill transformation and youth engagement to achieve national development goals. ROYM Nepal supports the country in achieving the longer term Sustainable Development Goals on poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water,sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.

The core themes for ROYM-Nepal are Child Right Advocacy and Protection, Planning and Governance, Public Health including Psychosocial and Mental Health, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, Food Security, Education, Skill Transformation and Livelihood, Organization Development and Leadership, Youth Engagement, Disaster Risk Management and Research, Monitoring and Evaluation of different development programs.
ROYM-Nepal has been actively working in the areas of Disaster Risk Management. ROYM-Nepal worked for early relief and recovery of the 2015 mega-earthquake victims, collecting and distributing emergency food stuffs, conducted mobile medical camps, drinking water support, establishing shelter and temporary learning centersfor earthquake victims, psychological counseling and stress management support to earthquake victims in different earthquake affected districts.
