DGASPC (Arad) General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (Arad)

The General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Arad - DGASPC was established by decision no. 159/19.11.2004 belonging to the Arad County Council, by merging the General Directorate for the Protection of Children's Rights and the Public Service of Social Assistance. The General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Arad is a public institution of county interest with legal personality, established under the County Council and carries out social assistance measures at the county level in the field of child protection, family, elderly people, disabled people as well as any people in need.

MISSION
The mission of DGASPC Arad is represented by the application at county level of social assistance policies and strategies in the field of child protection, family, single persons, disabled persons, as well as any persons in need and is responsible for the development and diversification of specialized social services, in depending on the identified social needs, with the priority goal of maintaining the person's social functionality, aiming at reinsertion into their own family and community living environment.

In order for an organization to be managed and function successfully, it is necessary that it be coordinated and controlled in a systematic and transparent way. Success can result from implementing and maintaining a management system that is designed to continuously improve performance while taking into account the needs of all stakeholders. The management activity of an organization includes, among other management categories, quality management. DGASPC Arad became aware of the fact that the implementation, maintenance and improvement of a quality management system has become a necessity in terms of the quality of the services provided and thus, in 2008, it obtained ISO certification (International Organization for Standardization - SR EN ISO 9001:2008 )
