Based in Dakar, ALIMA is an international medical NGO that proposes a new humanitarian model: to provide a response to medical emergencies in Africa thanks to local skills.

The Alliance for International Medical Action, ALIMA, proposes a new mode of collaboration between humanitarian associations.

ALIMA networks and strengthens national humanitarian medicine NGOs to implement care projects that are demanding in terms of both the quality of medicine and the number of patients treated. These projects take place both in humanitarian emergencies and in contexts of chronic crises which require the development of medium to long-term projects.
