Madaa Silwan

Our mission is to build a strong, knowledgeable and involved Arab Palestinian community in Silwan, and to provide educational and recreational activities and courses mainly for children, teenagers and women as well.

Madaa Creative Center (MCC) is a non-profit, non-governmental community-based center. It was founded in 2007 to serve, educate, and strengthen the Jerusalemite community, especially the community in Silwan, by engaging various segments of the society, such as children, youth and women, through numerous activities and programs. The aim of the Center is to provide the young generations with the knowledge about their history, and to make them aware of their present as well as to encourage them to seek a better future for themselves and equip them with the tools to face the various challenges and build their future. The aim of MCC is also to ensure that the young generation will be able to withstand and defy the odds, while maintaining its identity and Palestinian heritage.
