About

Science Teachers Initiative (STI) is a registered Not-for-Profit Non-Governmental Organisation of senior educationists and innovators invested in improvement of the quality of education and stimulation of a sense of critical thinking and innovation among young people in Africa.

STI aims at promoting the use of scientific knowledge, innovation, and research in solving socioeconomic challenges. This is done through innovation and development of learning and teaching materials that emphasize practical hands-on skills and bring about lifelong learning.

STI also works with like-minded organizations and government agencies to promote its Vision and Mission. These include international NGOs, private sector partners, and emerging social enterprises in Uganda and other countries.

For the last, over six years STI has partnered with River Flow International, a social enterprise that engages in business to raise funds that facilitate the pursuance of STI's mission and objectives.

STI currently operates in Uganda and South Sudan. It is in the process of expanding to Kenya, Tanzania and Somalia.
