CARE International (South Sudan)

Since 1993, CARE international is recognized as one of the leading humanitarian organizations in South Sudan, which works in coordination with NGOs, UN agencies, local authorities, and government ministries to maximize impact by saving lives, defeating poverty and achieving social justice. CARE’s community-driven approach plays a crucial role in inclusivity to truly reflect the needs of affected communities ( refugees, returnees, IDPs, host communities, women with disability) and bring to life the “Nexus” of humanitarian assistance and development ultimately leading towards peace building.  Therefore, CARE is taking an initiative to participate in USAID peacebuilding programme to mitigate local conflicts between communities, refugees, returnees, IDPs and host communities focusing on two key approaches: building sustainable peace and supporting livelihood for youth (refugees, returnees, IDPs, women with disabilities and host communities)
