About

The "Željezničar" Mountaineering Society was founded on January 20, 1950 in Zagreb. Over more than 70 years of activity, the members of the society have visited all Croatian and numerous mountains throughout Europe, and have climbed many of the most famous peaks in the world. The society is particularly well-known for its mountaineering on detours, and the Society is known worldwide for its speleological successes. In addition, cooperation with mountaineering societies throughout Croatia has been developed.
