Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) (Somalia)

The emergency aid in Somalia includes, among other things, the provision of drinking water, the equipping of schools with water tanks, the construction of wells and the use of two emergency drinking water treatment plants. Also, together with our local partner Nomadic Assistance for Peace and Development (NAPAD), we provide displaced families with food vouchers. In addition, 220 smallholder farming families are being trained in climate-resilient agriculture and alternative cultivation techniques. Knowledge of soil stability and nutrient supply is being imparted with the aim of increasing plants and yields while saving water.
