The National Social Accountability Consortium (NaSAC) established recently on 29 February 2024 and accorded its legal personality with Registry Number7294 on June 24, 2024, by the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No.1113/2019.

The consortium, composed of eighteen CSOs, serve as a model for governance to empower Ethiopia's civil society in general and its members in particular to play a more effective role in holding the government accountable and fostering inclusive and democratic governance by fostering synergies across three important domains: empowerment, development, and governance.
