Zero Dropouts Tanzania

A school dropout is a phenomenon that affects many children around Tanzania. It is characterized by early school leaving often before the end of compulsory education cycle. The reasons for dropping out of children are nemerousand complex, ranging from social and family problems to learning difficulties, absenteeism and lack of motivation.

Zero Dropouts Tanzania in Feb 2024 has been duly registered under the Non Governmental organization act. 2002 with registration number 00NGO/R/5248. Our vision is to bring positive changes on school dropouts through close collaboration with education partners, parents, schools communities and children themselves.

Our objectives are;

1. To raise awareness among parents and teachers on good strategies for motivating school children to love and continue schooling up to completion.
2. To empower secondary and primary school boards and committees on best practices for making schools attractive to learners.
3. To empower students in need with school materials such as textbooks, sanitary pads, uniforms and other learning materials as one of the strategies for relieving poor parents from burden of education cost.
4. To enhance establishment of community learning centres for already dropped students who cannot re-enter the public schools again.
